McLaren was founded in 1963 by Bruce McLaren, a New Zealand-born racing driver and engineer. Initially a racing team, McLaren achieved early success in Formula 1, winning its first F1 Grand Prix in 1968. Over the decades, McLaren would go on to become one of the most successful teams in F1 history, amassing numerous world championships.
In the 1990s, McLaren transitioned into road car production with the launch of the legendary McLaren F1, a hypercar that redefined automotive performance and technology. Since then, McLaren Automotive has built a reputation for producing some of the most technologically advanced and fastest cars in the world.
